The Hastings Companies plans to completely restore the grandeur of the once stately and beautiful Hersey House. Currently the Hersey House grounds lie in a state of disrepair and neglect. The Hersey House building itself has taken an "institutional appearance" over the years; and we plan to restore it to a grand single-family residence situated prominently on its own lot with restored gardens and landscaping. This will soften the lines of the restored home and make it functional and inviting as a single family home.

Behind the single family home, an adult housing townhome community is planned with 15 townhomes set on 3.25 acres. Careful consideration has been given to the architecture and landscaping ensuring the newly appointed community blends in seamlessly with its neighbors on North Street. The townhomes will average 2000 square feet, and will feature first floor master suites, attached garages and private outdoor courtyards for each home. Situated in downtown Hingham’s historic district, this one-of-a-kind community will enjoy the convenience of easy access to all Hingham center has to offer.
